Here’s a hands-on video review. This is a face-to-face comparative review between Motorola DROID A855 vs Motorola DROID 2 A955.

Motorola Droid 2 A955 is rumored to be having similar specs and features to its successor Motorola Droid A855 including its 3.7” display along with 5MP camera, WiFi and GPS.

But in this review video, both device was described as ‘virtually identical’, except for the replacement with the new keyboard’s navigation pad.

Also, we’ll see in this video Motorola Droid 2 A955’s big improvements packed under the hood which are the new 1GHz TI OMAP3630 CPU and 512MB RAM, while the PowerVR SGX530 graphic is still present. Click below to play the video.

However, the Motorola Droid 2 A995 will be announced just in the next couple of days. So let’s just wait for the official list of specs and features of this handset.

Now it’s time for Motorola W7 Active Edition live pictures. This 3G-enabled slide phone is designed and built for sporty active people, which packed with plenty features to match their active lifestyle.

Measures 49mm x 99mm x 15mm and weigh 105g, the Motorola W7 Active Edition sports a 2.2″ QVGA display, a 2MP camera and a front facing camera for video calls, microSD expansion slot (up to 8GB), FM Radio, Bluetooth with A2DP support, and ofcourse it support 3G networks for fast data transfer (though it would be great if it support HSDPA, just like the other smartphone currently on market). The built-in accelerometer and the Personal Trainer application makes Motorola W7 Active Edition absolutely more fun to use.

Folks, please welcome the newly announced Motorola W7 Active Edition. With better looks and black color, this 3G-enabled slide phone is designed and built for sporty active people, which packed with plenty features to match their active lifestyle.

The earlier leak of it was .. well .. i don’t know .. most people said that it was an ugly phone with bad choice of color. And i’m completely agree with them. When i saw it at it’s first leak, i said “God, this is the ugliest smartphone i’ve ever seen“. Well, duh .. what’s with the color, man? And the design itself, its just weird, you know? But now, i myself must say, am impressed. It looks much better, great actually. Like the gsmarena team said, the ugliness is no longer its key features.

For example, in use of it’s music player, flipping the phone over will pause the music, on an incoming call it will mute the phone, and also snooze the alarm. More functions can be done with other gestures like shaking and flicking it. Really, its fun. And ah, the fitness application ofcourse, the Personal Trainer, make this phone even more greater for those who loves a healthy active lifestyle.

The Motorola W7 Active Edition will hit the shelves in Q2 in Asia and Latin America, in few color choice – Black, Licorice, and Alpine White. Still no words on pricing or exact launch date yet.

Motorola ZN200 and W231 Officially Announced

Motorola has just announced the Motorola ZN200 slidephone in Brazil, alongside the Motorola W231–an entry level music-oriented device. The Motorola ZN200 has already been approved by the FCC for use in the USA.

The Motorola ZN200

Packed with a 2 megapixel camera on its back and on-board image-editing application, the Motorola ZN200 comes with 30MB internal memory and will be ship with a 1GB microSD card in the box. Bluetooth with A2DP profile support and CrystalTalk technology are also there adding its feature list.

The Motorola ZN200 is scheduled to start selling in Brazil in September, and the price will be US$315. The ZN200 is available in black,white and pink color version.

Motorola W231

The Motorola W231, an entry-level candybar musicphone with some music oriented application to please the user, including an MP3 player with a dedicated key, FM transfer, FM Radio. No words on price and availability time..

Motorola Ming A1600 and Ming A1800 Announced

The Linux-powered Motorola handsets, Moto-Ming A1600 and Moto-Ming A1800 are officially announced. This duo are Motorola’s powerful devices, packed with GPS, touchscreen display, and many other features.

[ Motorola Ming A1600 ]

Moto-Ming A1600 packed with a 2.4″ 262k TFT color display with QVGA resolution – and its a touchscreen. It’s sad but it’s true that Ming A1600 doesn’t have 3G support and Wi-fi, just as it was rumored. Armed with 3 megapixel auto-focus camera, microSD card-slot supporting upto 4GB of storage, Bluetooth, microUSB, FM radio, GPS receiver. The business card scanner is one of the unique feature on Ming A1600, which able to snap a picture of a sign or even texts and translate it using the dictionary app. The Ming A1600’s dimension is 98.9 x 53.5 x 19.6mm and 128g weight, definetely not included in compact devices category.

Still no info on price and availability yet.

[ Motorola Ming A1800 ]

The Moto-Ming A1800 shares most of A1600 features and specs. The same 2.4″ touchscreen display, 3 megapixel auto-focus snapper, microSD card-slot expanding storage upto 4GB, Bluetooth with A2DP profile, built-in GPS receiver, and Linux operating-system. Unfortunately, no 3G and Wi-fi again.

However, Moto-Ming A1800 is packed with 2 radio transceivers, to simultaneously operate in GSM and CDMA networks. Some people would take this as a huge advantage, again, some people, not all people.

It also got no info on its price and availability.

Motorola ZN5 Live Pictures

The Motorola ZN5 has just got reviewed for the first time although this phone hasn’t been announced officially. The highlight of this Linux-powered device is its 5 megapixel auto focus camera. Comes with a protective cover and a xenon flash. What’s great from this linux-powered cameraphone is, obviously, the 5 megapixel auto-focus camera on its back. The camera comes with a protective cap and a xenon flash.

Motorola ZN5 is the first cameraphone that shot in RAW and binned RAW formats (preserving full color depth but lower resolution). The morphing keypad is another feature of this device, also the 3.5mm audio jack, microSD card slot, microUSB slot, QVGA color display and TV-Out, are hanging on its spec sheet. While we’re waiting for the official release, let’s just enjoy these beautiful pictures, shall we?

Motorola ZN200 Slider Appears at FCC Website

It seems that Motorola is preparing another handset. This one called Motorola ZN200. Looking at the listed spec there, this slider might be released as low-end dual band device. 2 megapixel camera with 8x digi-zom, and a small display, Bluetooth, FM radio, 2.5mm audio jack, microUSB port, and windows media player 11 for your music files, are filling the spec sheet.

This device has been approved by FCC to ship in the US, and the detail are spilled to the web along with the live photos of it. Guess we will have to wait the official announcement for this one also, guys.
