Samsung has announced the new Samsung SGH-L870 at the S60 Summit in Barcelona, Spain. This high-class great-looking slider handset is cased in a brushed stainless steel body, powered by the Symbian S60 3rd Edition OS and Feature Pack 2 user interface like all Nokia N-series smartphones.

With only 13.5mm in thickness, the Samsung L870 sports a 3 megapixel camera, a 2.4-inch 16M color TFT display with QVGA resolution and microSD card slot with a capacity of up to 4GB. The handset also features a built-in FM radio, an advanced music player, and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo headsets.
The Samsung L870 supports tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support plus HSDPA 3.6Mbps for fast wireless data transfers, but no Wi-Fi functionality.

The Samsung L870 is planned to be available in Europe in August 2008, with other regions following soon. Pricing information is not yet available.
