Nokia’s latest full QWERTY phone — the Nokia E72 — as a sucessor of the company’s best selling QWERTY phone to to date, the E71. Bringing a rich IM and mobile email experience right out-of-the-box plus some improvements in few areas.
“Despite the outstanding market performance of the Nokia E71, we still continually look for ways to enhance the device. So we included the desktop like email experience from the Nokia E75 and gave it a new optical navigation key for more intuitive scrolling through menus, emails and fast panning of images. We also upgraded the camera to 5 megapixels and added a standard 3.5 mm audio jack.” – Ilari Nurmi, Vice President at Nokia stated.
That’s right, fellas. Nokia E72 packs a 5 megapixel camera, new optical key replacing the traditional D-pad, 3.5mm audio jack, HSDPA 10.2Mbps support, A-GPS, and some other goodies including a new compass and messaging application, and not to forgot – the new version of Quickoffice compatible with Microsoft Office 2007.
The Nokia E72 is scheduled to start shipping in Q3 2009, priced at 350 euro before taxes and subsidies.
And here are some live pictures of the Nokia E72. Enjoy!
