Samsung, the largest cell phone manufacturer in Korea, has officially announced today the fashionable handset Samsung U800 Soul b. The Soul b stands for Spirit Of Ultra in bar form factor. The Samsung U800 Soul b clearly bears the Samsung Soul traits, as the keyboard layout, shape and all-metal styling.

This is a feature-loaded handset with brushed-metal finish. Minimalistic design, mere 9.9mm thickness and 88.7g. The Samsung U800 Soulb offers up a 2″ 16M TFT display and a new thematic user interface, features 3 megapixel camera with built in powerful LED flash, 1GB built-in memory and the microSD card slot, a standard 3.5mm audio port, FM radio with RDS, also a built-in Office document viewer/editor and full HTML web browser. Along with the tri-band GSM support, Samsung U800 Soulb features HSDPA (3.6 Mbps), as well as Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP.

The Samsung U800 Soulb is planned to be available in June in Germany, with other regions following shortly. This sleek handset will be available in five colors of Soul Grey, Platinum Silver, Metallic Black, Soul Pink, or Amethyst Violet. The price is still unknown.

Samsung has announced the new Samsung SGH-L870 at the S60 Summit in Barcelona, Spain. This high-class great-looking slider handset is cased in a brushed stainless steel body, powered by the Symbian S60 3rd Edition OS and Feature Pack 2 user interface like all Nokia N-series smartphones.

With only 13.5mm in thickness, the Samsung L870 sports a 3 megapixel camera, a 2.4-inch 16M color TFT display with QVGA resolution and microSD card slot with a capacity of up to 4GB. The handset also features a built-in FM radio, an advanced music player, and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo headsets. The Samsung L870 supports tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support plus HSDPA 3.6Mbps for fast wireless data transfers, but no Wi-Fi functionality.

The Samsung L870 is planned to be available in Europe in August 2008, with other regions following soon. Pricing information is not yet available.

The whole Gresso Avantgarde White Diamonds collection will be appearing in JCK Las Vegas Show, the leading jewellery fair in USA from May 30 to June 3, 2008.

Nokia N78 has finally available and started selling. Nokia N78 is a very interesting Nseries handset, comes in the bar form factor, with few common design elements with Nokia N96.

Nokia N78 is a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE Symbian smartphone with dual-band HSDPA support. The novelties are geotagging and the integrated FM transmitter, allowing music to be played on any FM radio. It also has a multimedia menu with the same Navi wheel known form Nokia N81. Nokia N78 uses S60 3rd edition, Feature Pack 2 and has a 2.4″ QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) TFT display with 16M colors. It offers A-GPS support, Wi-Fi, 70MB on-board memory, expandable via microSD slot.

Nokia N78 has a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics. Records video in VGA resolution at 15fps but still capable of playing VGA video clips at 30 fps. The connectivity set includes the mentioned Wi-Fi b/g with UPnP, microUSB v2.0, 3.5mm stereo headphone plug and Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP stereo audio.
