Philips is obvioulsy taking a big-brave step into the high end market, by taking what they’ve prepared and kept dark for quite some time – into the daylight. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Philips X800 and Philips Xenium X-Connect. Both of them are full touch-screen device with large display, and one of them — the Philips Xenium X-Connect — is win-mo device with the largest display among the two. Let’s get along with them.
The Philips X800 is the manufacturer’s first full-touch phone, which is already leaked few weeks ago. It’s a 3-band GSM/GPRS device and features a large 2.9″ TFT screen support to display 262k color at 240×400 pixels resolution, and ofcourse it’s a full-touch one. Packed with full-touch user interface and able to recognize handwritings, a 2 megapixel camera with autofocus, microSD card slot, Bluetooth, and office document reader. The Philips X800 will be powered by a Philips-trademark battery, it is so powerful that is promised us up to 850 hours of stand-by time and 8 hours of talktime. Woa! Nice!
The second device today is the Philips Xenium X-Connect. It’s a win-mo device that runs on Windows Mobile 6, and packed with a huge 3″ touch-screen display. No further information on its resolution or touch functions. Supports 3G – HSDPA but lacks on WiFi, unfortunately. Other features including the integrated GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB and microSD card slot are stuffed inside the absolutely-killer-looks body.
Till this article posted, still no information on price or availability yet for both device.
