Guys, please welcome Samsung’s 12 megapixel cameraphone, the Samsung Pixon12 M8910, the very first full-touch function 12 megapixel snapper with loads of high-end features. Everybody is comparing this new-comer with Sony Ericsson Satio (Idou), and assuming this phone would be competing hard with Idou since the specs are pretty similar — though Idou will be a smartphone powered by Symbian S60 5th Edition while Pixon12 still running the same Samsung’s TouchWiz UI with some visual upgrades.

Anyway, Samsung Pixon12 is brought to the daylight with lots of cool features inside, including the smart-auto feature that will detect and change the scene mode automatically based on the lights and objects. Sure we can’t expect much from this, cause it doesn’t always gives us with the best image quality, but still it would be nice feature to have on our phone. Another cool stuff is the auto-focus tracking (AF Tracking), where users can select the pocus-point of the object and the AF function will track and follow it automatically.

The Samsung Pixon12 is claimed to be faster on start-up time and saving the images, at only 2 seconds. This is crazy great, guys! With this device, any users can quickly move the next shot without loosing time. And oh, the camera itself is using a 28mm wide-angle lens and a Xenon flashlight, which can be used easily with the dedicated shutter key. Great, huh? The Samsung Pixon12 can record videos at 30fps with 720×480 pixel resolution, and got all the support to the wide variety of digital audio-video formats, including H.264, DivX, and Xvid. If you’re so much into online social networking, with Pixon12’s share-pix feature you can easily upload and share your photos or videos to your favorite social networking websites, such as Facebook, Friendster, MySpace, Photobucket, Picasa, Flickr, etc.

Now what would it be if your phone’s camera is great but the display is terrible? You might just throw it away and let your dog chew the crap out of it. But this one is far from that, guys. The display is not only great, but also huge! Samsung Pixon12 boasts the highly advertised 3.1 inch AMOLED touchscreen display with 10,000:1 contrast ratio, while providing us the power saving feature. People are guessing the display resolution will be 240×400 pixel since there’s no official info on that yet.

Being a sucessor of the Samsung Pixon, Wifi and HSDPA-HSUPA support are now packed under the Samsung Pixon12’s hood, joining the GPS receiver, Bluetooth 2.1, FM radio and some other features to fill out the phone’s spec sheet.

The Samsung Pixon12 M8910 is promised to hit europe markets at the end of this month, but still no words on the price.

Another smart feature is the new Contact Bar which definetely has the widget feel — it’s animated, and we can scroll through up to 20 contact icons and directly interact with them from the home screen. Very cool feature.

The earlier leak of it was .. well .. i don’t know .. most people said that it was an ugly phone with bad choice of color. And i’m completely agree with them. When i saw it at it’s first leak, i said “God, this is the ugliest smartphone i’ve ever seen“. Well, duh .. what’s with the color, man? And the design itself, its just weird, you know? But now, i myself must say, am impressed. It looks much better, great actually. Like the gsmarena team said, the ugliness is no longer its key features.

Back to the device, it measures 49mm x 99mm x 15mm and weigh 105g, sports a 2.2″ QVGA display, a 2MP camera and a front facing camera for video calls, microSD expansion slot (up to 8GB), FM Radio, Bluetooth with A2DP support, and ofcourse it support 3G networks for fast data transfer (though it would be great if it support HSDPA, just like the other smartphone currently on market). The built-in accelerometer makes the Motorola W7 more fun to use.

For example, in use of it’s music player, flipping the phone over will pause the music, on an incoming call it will mute the phone, and also snooze the alarm. More functions can be done with other gestures like shaking and flicking it. Really, its fun. And ah, the fitness application ofcourse, the Personal Trainer, make this phone even more greater for those who loves a healthy active lifestyle.

The Motorola W7 Active Edition will hit the shelves in Q2 in Asia and Latin America, in few color choice – Black, Licorice, and Alpine White. Still no words on pricing or exact launch date yet.

Sony Ericsson ’s latest handset — Sony Ericsson T700 unveiled at last. We can’t sat that we ‘re greatly surprised though as photos of this device leaked several times in this last past month.

It comes with a moderate amount of on-board features and — pretty fortunate — an affordable price tag. So this new bar-shaped T700 is hugely expected to impress with looks and price point rather than with functionality.

Featured Specs

This T700 comes with quad-band GSM support and single-band 3G support with HSDPA. A 3.2 megapixel snapper is also around, with no autofocus, unfortunately. It also packs a 2-inch 262K color display with QVGA resolution. Bluetooth with A2DP, USB connectivity and up to 25MB of user memory. An M2 card slot provided to expand that amount and a 512MB memory card included in its retail package. An FM radio with RDS completes the SE T700 features list.

Dimension & Weight

Measuring 104 x 48 x 10 mm and weighing only 78 g the Sony Ericsson T700 is even more compact than its predecessor – the Sony Ericsson T650.

It’s gonna hit the shelves in Q4 of the year at less than 200 euro estimated retail price. The available color versions are Black on Silver, Black on Red and Shining Silver.

Though Blackberry Bold look the same with previous blackberry phone — with the QWERTY keyboard we always love — the packed features inside it are something to drool of, including the large TFT color display at 480×320 pixel resolution, the fast 624MHz processor, a 1GB internal memory which expandable through the microSD card slot support up to 16GB of storage.

The Blackberry Bold runs on the latest Blackberry 4.6 operating system, giving us the full support for multitasking and fast web-browsing experience with the high performance of the pre-installed web browser, which also support to download attachments or view videos online. Even more, the Blackberry Bold is packed with full HSDPA support promising the fastest internet browsing and data transfer. Wait, there’s more, an integrated GPS and Wi-Fi. Now that’s what we called cool gadget!

Adding the fun side, RIM armed Blackberry Bold with a 2 megapixel camera, a music player with an amazing quality plus an equalizer, and 3.5mm audio jack. Also, users can change the look (well, only a part of it) by buying the optional leather-like backplates, available in some different colors.

It seems the Sony Ericsson P5 — a.k.a Paris — really close to its announcement day. Because today, few live pictures of Sony Ericsson P5 leaked and spreaded on the web, and this time in better quality and details.

No further information about the P5 in the leak this time, but we can see clearly now that this phone comes in slide form-factor, with an M2 memorycard slot, the QW-ER-TY keyboard like the Sony Ericsson M600, a 5 megapixel snapper with lens-cap, and a video-call camera on the front.

And if you haven’t heard yet, the Sony Ericsson P5 has a touchscreen display with a stylus plucked in the upper right. We also see some music-oriented keys on the right side of the device, but missing the side scroll-wheel that we used to see on other high-end smartphone from Sony Ericsson.

Another features in the Sony Ericsson P5 include an on-board GPS receiver, Wi-Fi, HSDPA connectivity support, and the latest UIQ 3.3 user interface.
